About Me
From a macro level, I am an IT consultant. I divide IT into three components:
- Hardware
- Networking
- Software
I work in the Software part. Furthermore, you can divide Software into the Microsoft camp and the Java/Open Source camps. I primarily work in the Microsoft camp, BUT I have done a lot of Java work and frankly it keeps me abreast of everything going on in the software world. I have a deep interest in Software Engineering or the way software is made and maintained; being the second top contributor to the Wikipedia article on the subject. Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server and ALM Suite help software developers, testers, project managers, and others manage the software process. I specialize in this product. I also have a deep interest in Software Architecture and Data Modeling.
I currently work as a Microsoft Practice Director for the Washington, DC Area at CEI. If you are interested in CEI helping your organization please contact me.
My credentials are listed below:
- MS, Software Engineering, George Mason University
- BS, Computer Science & Physics, University of Virginia
- Working in Software Industry since 1999
